LANSING — The Michigan House of Representatives voted on House Bill 5013, which makes various changes to the state’s auto no-fault insurance system. The bill failed to pass, and in response, House Democratic Floor Leader state Rep. Christine Greig (D-Farmington Hills) issued the following statement:

LANSING — Oakland County-based members of the Michigan House Democratic Caucus were ceremonially sworn in to serve in the Michigan House of Representatives for the 99th Legislature in 2017-18. The five Oakland County Democratic representatives said that their priorities in office will mirror those of the working families, seniors and students of Oakland County.

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. - A trio of southern Oakland County’s effective Democratic state representatives announced today that they will be running for re-election to the Michigan House of Representatives.
State Representatives Christine Greig of Farmington Hills, Jeremy Moss of Southfield, and Robert Wittenberg of Oak Park each stand on a solid record of public service during their first year in the legislature and intend to continue their advocacy for Oakland County in a second term.

Christine Greig (D-Farmington Hills) Assistant Democratic Floor Leader for the remainder of the 2015-16 legislative session. Rep. Greig replaces former Rep. Derek Miller, who recently resigned after being appointed to serve as the Macomb County Treasurer.

LANSING — State Representatives Erika Geiss (D-Taylor) and Christine Greig (D-Farmington Hills) are proud to announce that they will attend the Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development (BILLD) this summer. The Council of State Governments Midwest, which operates the program, named the two freshman legislators as fellows. They join a select group of lawmakers from around the region.

LANSING – On Tuesday, first-term state Representative Christine Greig (D-Farmington Hills) presented her inaugural bill to the enrolling clerk’s office of the Michigan Legislature. House Bill 4287 will require the phasing out of the manufacture and sale of personal care products containing plastic particles – known as “microbeads.”
